Explorers going to Nepal

We are in the fortunate position in Drake and Intrepid of having some fantastically capable Explorers. We see evidence of this in many of the activities that we do - cycling from London to Paris, Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions in conditions that paralysed much of the UK. But, of course, that means that we need to ensure that the activities that we offer are such that there is a challenge to the Explorers in the Units - to push them, and to prove to themselves just what it is they are capable of and give them new experiences that go beyond the norm.

As part of that, we have decided that the two Units are going to combine to offer an expedition to Nepal. The first and most obvious question - why Nepal?

Because it’s there is the most obvious answer to this question. However, it’s not the full answer to this question - because it’s going to be a challenge. Because it’s going to be very different. Because it’s going to stretch even the most capable of the Explo
